December Volunteer Opportunities 1st – 8th

Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History Assistant

Phase 1 (so long as the elevator is open on the College of Idaho campus)

This lovely museum has great collections of insects, fossils, rocks, fish and art. The insect portion in particular is extremely impressive, one of the largest available to the public in the western US!
Volunteering often involves a current project to archive their insect collection. Love bugs but aren’t confident in identification? Or don’t want to touch specimens? No fear there’s still things you can do! (They need a lot of labels cut out.)

December 7th at College of Idaho in the Boone Hall between 10 am and 3 pm with a 12 to 1 break for lunch and a free lecture. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities check their official list here.
